Chicago Show

I earned a Gold medal for this figure at the Chicago Show. Displayed my DVII also and will post pics soon.

Nearing the finish line....

The end is in site! A couple more pieces of rigging, the prop, and finish the base. Click on the picture to enlarge.

Struts...

Working on installing the struts. Pics aren't the greatest but you get the idea.

Pilot

I am still plugging away at the DVII and am also working on a pilot figure that will be standing next to the fuselage. Representing Lt. Jacobs will be this figure from Cockpit Wings, sculpted by my old friend Steve Warrilow. Still have to finish the face, buttons, cap and goggles along with a couple more finishing touches.

Working on getting the God of the North Wind decals in place. These are custom made and have been a challenge getting them to lay down. I have to do some touch up work on them with oils paints. Still early in the process.

A little progress...

Still making progress. Bottom wing given some oils washes for subtle weathering. First coat of black sprayed on the fuselage. More weathering and decals to come.
